The interior smells fresh, the engine happily shifts and revs with joy. These are original, but by appearances, it would make you think that it has far less than that. It has exactly 100,000 miles on the clock. This was a 1 owner garage kept vehicle in Japan. The original black paint still shines, with no clear coat fade, or blemishes.

Unmolested with tasteless modifications, this is presented to you in the same way that Toyota presented it to it’s customers 25 years ago. Not to mention, it’s also an excellent, all original example. This is a front wheel drive, 2000 lb, 135 horsepower pocket rocket. An era of pogs, JNCO jeans, and Full House… okay I’m getting a bit carried away on the nostalgia here, but you get the point. An era of simple cars fulfilling simple pleasures, an era of functional hood scoops and no frills interiors, when North American sold Toyotas were actually built in Japan. This is a 1994 Toyota Starlet GT Turbo, production ended for these in 1995. Perhaps the quintessential Toyota hot hatch of the 90s that we never saw in North America.
